Drone filming in Palma de Mallorca
Palma sits inside the airport control zone. You can fly, but it has to be done properly and with the right authorisation.
Palma concentrates most of the island’s demand for aerial video: property marketing along the Paseo Marítimo and Portixol, hotels in the old town, boating in the harbour and corporate video in ParcBit and the Son Castelló industrial estate.
It is also the most airspace-restricted area of Mallorca, because practically the whole city falls inside the control zone of Son Sant Joan airport. That does not mean you cannot fly: it means you have to request the corresponding authorisation, respect the assigned maximum altitudes and coordinate with air traffic control when required. We handle the paperwork.
What we film in Palma

Can you fly a drone in Palma?
Yes, but with authorisation. Palma is inside the airport control zone and there are maximum altitudes assigned by sector. We arrange the permit before the shoot.
How much notice do you need?
For flights in Palma we ask for 5 to 10 working days so the authorisation can be processed comfortably.
Can the Cathedral be filmed from the air?
With altitude and distance limits. There are perfectly viable shots, but not every shot. We agree the specifics during planning.
Do you charge travel to Palma?
