Prior inspection flight
Locating the real outbreak and its extent before applying anything. Without this step, targeted application is not targeted.

Drone service in Mallorca
Treating the whole plot when the outbreak covers 5 % of it is throwing away product and money.
Drone pest control has two phases and both matter. First the outbreak is located from the air, with an inspection flight that identifies the damage pattern and its real extent. Then the treatment is applied only over the affected zones, with the dose adjusted per sector.
The advantage over traditional application is not only the product saved: it is not compacting the soil with heavy machinery, being able to enter sloping or waterlogged plots, and treating in the right time window without depending on tractor availability.
Aerial application of plant protection products is regulated and requires specific certifications and, depending on the product and the area, prior authorisation. We check what can be applied and how before proposing any treatment.
What is included
Locating the real outbreak and its extent before applying anything. Without this step, targeted application is not targeted.
Variable prescription: we treat where there is a problem and at the appropriate dose, not one blanket dose for the whole plot.
Slopes, terraces, waterlogged soil or narrow spacings where ground machinery cannot enter or damages the crop.
No heavy machinery enters. On shallow Mallorcan soils that shows season after season.
A georeferenced trace of what was applied, with area, dose and date, for the field logbook.
Follow-up afterwards to check whether the outbreak has been halted or needs a second pass.
Benefits
Applying only over the outbreak cuts spend on plant protection products and the chemical load reaching the soil.
We can fly as soon as it is detected, without waiting for the ground to dry or for machinery to free up.
No wheels between the rows and no broken branches. On young tree crops this matters especially.
Every treatment is recorded with its map. Useful for the field logbook and for audits.
Case studies
No — and anyone who says yes without reading the label is not operating properly. Aerial application of plant protection products is regulated: some products allow it, others expressly prohibit it, and some cases require specific authorisation. Before proposing any treatment we check product, area and conditions; if it cannot legally be done, we say so and look for the alternative.
Per hectare treated, with a minimum service charge covering travel and setup. The prior inspection flight can be booked on its own, with no obligation to treat afterwards: sometimes the outbreak turns out smaller than feared and intervening is not worth it. With recurring seasonal work the per-hectare rate drops.
Between 15 and 30 hectares per day in targeted application, depending on dose, terrain and the distance between zones to treat. Small, scattered plots yield less than continuous area, and that shows in the quote: we tell you the estimated days before starting.
In many cases it complements rather than replaces it: the drone reaches where the tractor cannot — slopes, waterlogged soil, narrow spacings — and acts fast on localised outbreaks without waiting for the ground to become passable. For blanket applications on flat, dry land the tractor remains competitive, and we will tell you so.
With a prior inspection flight, visual and thermal, that maps the damage pattern and its real extent. If you already have the location from your technician or plant protection association, we work directly from it and skip that step, with the corresponding saving.
On plots adjoining homes, public paths or organic crops, yes: in some cases it is mandatory and in all cases it is sensible. We check it during planning and, where appropriate, we prepare the notice ourselves — product, date and time window — so you only have to hand it over.
Yes, and a complete one: a georeferenced trace of what was applied, area, dose, product, date and the weather conditions at the time. Delivered as PDF and as CSV ready for the digital farm logbook, and equally valid before an inspection or an audit.
